EIC project held a CD-3B Independent Project Review in January. Project status was presented to the review committee along with the request approval for a number of long-lead procurements. Responses to charge questions were generally positive, and the review
committee recommended proceeding with CD-3B approval. Reviewers made a number of helpful recommendations, highlighting areas for improvement or development, while supporting the overall project goals of implementing subprojects, moving the RCS out of the
tunnel, and approving the CD-3B scope.<o:p></o:p></span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right:.5in"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk176345068"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk189639147"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">With this guidance, we will continue to work towards technical
maturity of the project as well as the implementation of subprojects to allow us to start baselining scope. With another DOE status review planned for this summer, it is important for us to continue to make progress to be able to show our readiness to baseline
the first subproject in early 2026.<o:p></o:p></span></span></span></p>
