A message from Jim Fast, EIC Project Manager
[cid:image012.jpg at 01DA545A.B29A2FD0]There has been no substantive change in the funding outlook.  The government is still operating under continuing resolutions and we continue to get funding increments.  We have ample funding in hand for all of FY24 and into FY25.  We are eagerly awaiting FY25 and FY26 funding guidance, which typically comes in March as ONP develops their budgets with the DOE Secretary and the President.

It was a pleasure to host our inaugural All Hands.  I am glad you all enjoyed the treats.  While in-person attendance was good, there seemed to be some confusion in the ranks about whether they should attend in person or remote (or at all) so I want to let everyone know that in-person attendance is urged and the food is provided to entice you to come!  If people have topics they would like discussed or thoughts about what we can do at future quarterlies please pass those along to the administrative team, myself or Katherine.  That includes thoughts on types of treats for future events – maybe we can do a chili competition or something else fun and tasty.  The real intent is so we can all get to know one another as a team and have an opportunity to share what we are doing outside our work groups.

HR Update
Jefferson Lab continues its ramp up of staffing for the EIC Project.  There are currently 6 EIC open positions.

  *   Radiation Control Technician
  *   Mechanical Engineer III (2 positions)
  *   Mechanical Technician (2 positions)
  *   RF Systems Manager
EIC positions are posted on the JLab Career site (https://www.jlab.org/recruiting).  Please pass along to any qualified candidates who you think might be interested, or perhaps you are such a candidate!

Procurement Reminder
All EIC procurements should use the new EIC ORG code rather than home ORG of staff member

Training
