     On August 4th at 1:30, Pete Knudsen of the Cryogenics group will 
present a seminar titled "Cold End Process Options for Nominal 2K 
Efficiency Improvements".  This is based on a presentation/paper Pete 
recently gave at the Cryogenics Engineering Conference, the presentation 
covers significant efficiency improvements and reduced costs for 
supporting 2K loads.  It involves engineering design changes on the 
refrigerator load (cryomodules or magnets) that can be made to optimize 
the entire 2K refrigeration cycle providing efficiency improvements of 
around 10% for large systems like those in CEBAF.  The this topic should 
be of particular interest to those who work on cryomodule designs and 
are interested in cryogenic system design and operation.  I encourage 
you to take some time out of your busy work schedule to attend if you 
feel it will benefit your work.
