Jefferson Lab will be participating in the Virginia state wide Tornado
drill on March 15, 2011 at 9:45am.
It is important that we have full participation in this drill.
The Engineering Division staff are to respond to the emergency announcement
by taking shelter in the appropriate location for their work area at the
time of the warning.

Respond to the emergency announcement by mustering at the closest tornado take-cover shelter
and waiting there until an all clear announcement is received (expected to be about 10-15 minutes)
NOTE: The accelerator will not be shut down, so those who would
shelter downstairs in the North or South Access buildings during a real
weather emergency should muster at the first floor (ground level) in
those buildings for this drill.
Exceptions: A few individuals as specifically designated by their
department manager to monitor ongoing work processes that should not be
interrupted are not required to go to shelter locations. The only
exceptions identified so far are the on duty accelerator operations crew.
