Dear all, and TIC leaders
Please find below a call for FY25 test beam schedule request at Fermilab FTBF and ITA facilities.
Priority will be given to large experiments such as EIC in the scheduling process so we might want within MPGD-DSC to make a joint request for Spring - Summer 2025 to test the ePIC MPGD prototypes / engineering test articles ....
I will put this topic on agenda for tomorrow general MPGD-DSC monthly meeting
Best regards
Kondo

Subject: [EXTERNAL] FTBF and ITA scheduling for FY25
Hello all FTBF and ITA users,
We are now ready to start the scheduling process for beam time at FTBF and ITA for FY25. After the challenges of the FY24 run we are expecting accelerator operations to return to a normal level with beam available from ~November 2024 to early July 2025. Please find below the scheduling request forms:
MTest beam time at FTBF: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1NWwlZh7ys04RWPC4XenrursBKtd3HrTXTb_-4k8oqmU/edit<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__docs.google.com_forms_d_1NWwlZh7ys04RWPC4XenrursBKtd3HrTXTb-5F-2D4k8oqmU_edit&d=DwMF-g&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=8RkWGK8Ehr23aQ4XZaeJkKhdeUjRK7rjlS9Ivaen0wM&m=RyiTwI300jijjIjrhq7ftlVVcJpY-qDtwPd-kGBCiDMvHUMAIYWQyAsz2Xuw9sb2&s=TBiiJTneoIjUn5AgSmYWMFH03xMWkVsFxjVfLvRwFc0&e=>

We will let responses collect for a couple weeks and then start trying to fill a schedule. Responses by August 19 would be appreciated for initial consideration.
We expect that the MTest schedule will be very full this year based on interest already expressed and requests deferred from the abbreviated FY24 running. We appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility in trying to optimize the schedule as we may have to move or shorten some requests. We will work with larger experiment groups (ex: EIC, ATLAS, CMS) to internally prioritize their efforts as needed if conflicts arise.
This year we will look to formally schedule parasitic requests on the calendar in addition to the primary beam users to improve communication with running experiments and the sharing of the beam resource.
Please reach out to ftbf_co at fnal.gov<mailto:ftbf_co at fnal.gov> with any questions you have and forward this announcement to anyone with interest who we have missed. We look forward to hosting many of you at FTBF/ITA in the coming months.
Thanks,
Evan, Mandy, Joe, JJ
