Greetings

We have warmed the SHMS dipole up to 80 K to rid it of any N2 contamination.

Today we tested the Mechanical relief on the SHMS dipole and it opened
at 56 PSIG exactly as it did in a test in February.

It's spec is to open at

The rupture disc that was in place Monday opened 15 PSI lower than the
stamped set pressure at about 60 PSIG.

With the mechanical relief and RD at the same set point it is just luck
which opens first.

The Hall C plan is to start a cool down during the day shift Friday when
we have full staff on site and fill over the weekend.

Hall C will perform standard magnet checkout tests on Monday to verify
that the SHMS dipole is in good operating condition.

Further tests to enhance reliability will also be performed.

Cheers

Paul
