The vendor's plant which supplies JLab cryogenic plants with liquid nitrogen
(LN2) has equipment problem. Therefore, JLab LN2 demand must be promptly
reduced, which includes warm-up of Hall C 15K target.

The site liquid nitrogen vendor is reporting problems with their production
and delivery systems effecting multiple states. They are unsure the number
of deliveries they will be able to make to our facility over the next couple
of weeks. We are working with them to understand the scope of the problem
and to make decisions based on the best information we have at the time. Our
facility requires at least two trucks per day at the CHL and periodically
three trucks per day to maintain HDR, CTF, and the Halls. We are trying to
get updated information now and will disseminate it asap.

We are asking our contracting people to see what other sources are available
and we are working our contacts at NASA Langley to understand the state of
their LN2 plant.

The first blush tiers of possible reduction are
A. Stop 15K flow at ESR and shutdown CHL/ESR transferline, drop both CHLs to
4.5K, ramp Hall D magnet to zero current
B. Move both linacs to CHL2 at 4.5K and park CHL1 at 80K
C.Shutdown CTF

More to follow.
