[Esr-users] Please reset CEV6711C

Hi Chris,
Hall B does not use any parameter of the ESR to do active controls of Hall B cryogenic devices during steady state operations.
At times we have used CFI6711B as an input to limit our cooldown rate. We also monitor the warm return pressure CPI603QB but have a redundant sensor PT8571 that we use to calculate the pressure drop across our VCL's (vapor cooled current leads), if the value gets too low and we loose flow while the magnet is at current we pop open a vent solenoid valve to assure we have lead flow. If the return pressure stays high for more than 5 minutes then we ramp down our magnets and switch the lead flow back to the ESR once the magnets get to zero field.
Dave

Mike,
I had set up CEV6711C to look at supply pressure and limit flow to Hall C in case supply flow drops to 2.8 Atm from 3.05 in an effort to protect ESR during an upset condition. I was unaware that Hall C uses this set point to input into their own controls.
I have set CEV6711C back to looking at flow with the original set point.
Are there any such control set points in ESR that are duplicated for valves in the halls that I need to be aware of, or is this the only one?
-Chris

Hi Chris,
Please reset CEV6711C back to 27 g/s. It has been set at 2.8 g/s since about 4:30 pm yesterday, Friday.
CEV6711C is the Cryo groups flow limit for Hall C, it regulates how much 4K Cryo allows Hall C to take.
If you refuse change the limit back we will have no choice but to remove the limit from our controls.
Regards,
Mike
