[Esr-users] CVI incident in Hall C

Greetings,

This morning a CVI port was improperly engaged, allowing a brief burst of air to enter the insulating vacuum of the anaconda flex line of the SHMS transfer line. This resulted in a heat pulse traveling up the cold return line and a temporary stoppage of flow to the SHMS. Two small turbos have been placed on the anaconda line and the SHMS magnets are in the process of recovering. If the heat load on the anaconda increases, it may be necessary to warm the line (SHMS) and pump it out. No sign of condensation on the anaconda is visible.
Prior to this morning flow to the Hall C was stable at 21.5g/s.
