[Esr-users] Update of Hall B plans for April

Hi All,

Hall B is now making detail plans to test its magnets.
During the CHL switch over that is scheduled for April 15-17 Hall B will leave its magnets at 0 current and do some work on the power supplies but no powering.
On the 18-19 there may be some very low current 100/300 amp testing
On the weekend the magnets will remain cold
On April 22/23 more testing at currents up to 1000A may be done. If a magnet trips and warms we may or may not be able to recover depending on the boost available from CHL. Ideally we will recool, complete testing and then do a burp of the Torus which normally takes ~36hrs. Then we would like to recool the Torus testing our new recovery procedure. If all goes well by Friday 4/26 Hall B 4K helium can be shut off.
