[Esr-users] More SHMS Q2 dump test

Hi Joe,

 Eric S, Amy C and myself were present during the test, beside the magnet when the quench-back occurred. There was only one Quench-back event within Hall C at around 10:50a this morning. After that event, the magnet power supply was turned off to allow magnets to recover.

SHMS Q2 is slowly re-filling.

How did you confirm that no relief valve lifted, because ESR corrective actions may have been needed? As 1330 28Oct19, the ESR warm return line pressures have not yet recovered from the events at 1055 and 1153.

What's the temperature of the magnet and shied went up to?
Eric - what is the hot spot temp you expected with fast dump from full current..?

At the highest current the dump test induce Quench back and pressures in SHMS Q2 rose to 4.757atm
Almost to the relief setting.

System is recovering now.

testing is concluded.
