Good afternoon,
Facilities will be shutting off 4160V power to ESR1 on December 20th (weather permitting), and again the first week of January, to repair the switchgear for ESR2. We anticipate the power will be shut off for up to 4 hours and will be doing controlled shutdowns of ESR ahead of the outages. We will be shutting down the compressors and the Halls will stop receiving cryogens during this time. CHL recovery will be processing all the return flow from the Halls as well as ESR1. Cryo will communicate with Hall liaisons to initiate shutdown, coordinate recovery flows, and monitor cooldowns. Please direct any questions to me. The following is the general procession of events.
1. Beam turns off at ~0700
2. Halls ramp down magnets
3. ESR1 coldbox and compressor shutdown
4. 4160V turns off
5. Switchgear work
6. 4160V turns on
7. ESR1 coldbox and compressor restart
8. Cooldown Halls
