Good afternoon,
Facilities will be shutting off 4160V power to ESR1 on Tuesday, January 9th (weather permitting) to complete the repair the transformer for ESR2. All personnel involved in this operation MUST BE ONSITE BY 0800. We anticipate the power will be shut off for up to 4 hours and will be doing a controlled shutdown of ESR ahead of the outage. We will be shutting down the compressors and the Halls will stop receiving cryogens during this time. CHL recovery will be processing all the return flow from the Halls as well as ESR1. Cryo will communicate with Hall liaisons to initiate shutdown, coordinate recovery flows, and monitor cooldowns. Please direct any questions to me. The following is the general procession of events.
1. Halls ramp down magnets
2. ESR1 coldbox and compressor shutdown
3. 4160V turns off
4. Transformer work
5. 4160V turns on
6. ESR1 coldbox and compressor restart
7. Cooldown Halls
