The following Control System Outage has been Proposed:

Outage: Troubleshoot and Correct CHL Pump Emergency Start Function
Proposed By: Carroll W. Jones
Start Time: 07/12/2013 09:00
End Time: 07/11/2013 12:00
Description: Troubleshoot and repair CHL cooling tower pump emergency start function. This work impacts the CHL1 plant and systems utilizing liquid helium being produced. Earlier this week, the system differential pressure sensor failed and read below the low limit that should have automatically started the lag pump. The lag pump was not started. Control system data indicated the lag pump start sequence was initiated but the actually lag pump start command was not changed to start. There is another function that would also start the lag pump if pump status of the lead pump indicates off. Start of the Pump 8-CTP-3 which recently had its impeller trimmed has been delayed until emergency start functions have been corrected and tested.

Note: All buildings and areas with networked HVAC control systems have been checked. This should only impact the CHL Cooling Tower controls.
