The following Control System Outage has been Completed:

Outage:      Swithover to JCI Virtual ADX Server

Description/Impacts:
Setup a virtual JCI ADXserver (same as current software version) based in the Building 12 Computer Center and transfer all site JCI controllers from the existing physical ADX Server to the virtual ADX Server.

The existing JCI ADX Server will remain operational until the virtual JCI ADX Server is ready to be placed online.  Firmware updates required to enable all existing controllers to communicate with the new JCI ADXserver software will be implemented.   Controller outage periods will vary from a few minutes to about 30-40 minutes depending upon the size and age of the controller.   Efforts will be taken to place critical systems that can not experience the downtime without significant adverse impact to systems supported by equipment controlled by the specific controller being updated.  For example, the Central Chiller System
utilizes multiple controllers and sensors located in various areas across the site to function, system components will be switched to manual operation to not adversely impact site operations such as the F-Wing Data Center, the Accelerator Service Building Chilled Water
Loop, and various site cleanrooms located in the Test Lab and the EEL Building.  Critical Test Lab industrial systems (chemical processing ventilation, Acid Chiller System, and clean room conditioning equipment) have been scheduled to be processed in accordance with SRF Production schedule to minimize possible adverse impacts.
