The following HVAC Outage has been Proposed:

Outage:      Switch Center Chiller Plant from Test Lab Basement Chillers to CUP Chillers

Description/Impacts:
Central Chiller Plant must be switched from Test Lab Basement Chillers to CUP Chillers to facilitate startup of recently installed CUP Chiller 60-CH-2.  The process requires restarting CUP Chiller 60-CH-1 to cool chiller water circulating through the CUP Building during the water balancing process for the incorporation of new Chiller 60-CH-2, new primary pump 60-PCWP-2,  and new secondary pump 60-SCWP-3 without significant impact on operating loads cooled by the chiller plant (F-Wing Data Center, TLA Cleanroom, EEL clean rooms, Accelerator Service Building Chilled Water Loop, and various areas within the Test Lab and EEL Building).  Areas may see a rise in space temperature of a few degrees  during the switchover which will return to normal once the switchover is complete.

Once switched to the CUP Chiller Plant, operational restrictions will be established for the TAB subcontractor and Chiller 60-CH-2 starttup team to minimize impact to areas conditioned by the Central Chiller Plant as balancing work is performed and the new equipment (chiller, primary pump, and secondary pump) is started.
