The following Power Outage has been Proposed:

Outage:      ARC Building Power Outage to Support Replacement of Lab Air Conditioning System

Description/Impacts:
A building-wide power outage is scheduled for early morning Tuesday, August 30th in support of the new HVAC systems that are currently being installed to condition the laboratory area of the ARC Building. The plan is to have the main power back on by 8 – 9 am. However, the ARC Laboratory compressed air, air conditioning, central vacuum system, and exhaust system will not be back on until around noon. Facilities expects that you will leave any experiments that you are doing in a safe, "powered down" state before you leave on Monday, as the sprinkler systems will be extremely limited in their coverage and the fire alarm system will be inactive. Since the laboratories' exhaust will also be off, all chemicals should be secured and left in a safe condition. No one will be allowed in the building until the main power is back on line.
