The following HVAC Outage has been Proposed:

Outage:      Troubleshoot and Repair ARC Lab ARC-AHU-1 Fan Wall Excessive Vibration

Description/Impacts:
Troubleshoot and repair ARC Lab Main Air Handling Unit ARC-AHU-1 fan wall excessive vibration.  The ARC Lab air handling unit will be shutdown at 7 AM to determine the cause of the excessive vibration and noise.  Once the cause is determined, repairs will be implemented and tested.  ARC-AHU-1 fan will have to be turned off and on during troubleshooting and off during actual repairs.  Repair is estimated to require about 2 hours.  Once repair is completed, the fan will be turned on and off to test the effectiveness of the repair.

The laboratory exhaust system will remain operational throughout the ARC-AHU-1 troubleshooting, repair, and testing.  Space temperature may increase in labs with equipment that generates significant sensible heat such as the ODU Large Microscope.  Impact to labs that do not contain equipment that generates significant heat should be minimal.
