Colleagues,

Attached please find a draft tech note created to determine whether the 
existing septa steel lengths are sufficient at 22 GeV if one can 
adequately magnetically-couple a conductively cooled HTS superconductor 
to the steel.  With that very stringent caveat, the answer is yes.  One 
may even be able to shorten the steel ~10% to keep the overall 
installation length, including cryocooler(s), the same.

Harmonic content is large.  If anyone wants the 25 MB spreadsheet with 
the details of the summaries in tables 2 and 3, email me.  And the opc 
files, for that matter.  Maximum mesh size is 2 mm, quadratic elements, 
where beam orbits are calculated.  Sampling theorem requirements more 
than satisfied even for 20-pole.
