f(x) = 3x^2-2x^3
x goes from 0 to 1
Cell length = start*(end/start)^f(x)
...is one I suggested for CBETA, just using f(x) linearly for dipoles and offsets. Then, for length and beta functions that can't go below zero, I suggested to Dejan to use the "log scale" version with f(x) in the exponent.

f(x) is the cubic polynomal that satisfies f(0)=0, f(1)=1, f'(0)=f'(1)=0, so it smoothy connects 0 to 1.

For the CBETA adiabatic transitions, Scott Berg eventally optimised a quintic polynomial to improve performance further, but this cubic is often a good generic starting point.
Ahh, seems like my Mac converted the word file to pages automatically. I’ll get it to docx but in the meanwhile I’ve attached a pdf (uploaded to the share folder as well).

Let me know if that doesn’t work.

Thanks,
I can't open a ".pages" file here. Do you have a Word, RTF or text document?
