[Frost] meeting tomorrow

Eugene,
I put corrected plots for the background simulation for g9b on the web
http://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/secure/g9/fklein/gsim_racetrack2.html .
What I found on Monday was that the target volumes were corerctly moved
downstream BUT the holding coil field was still centered at the nominal
target position. Thus, when the target was moved 5.0cm or 7.5cm downstream
(centered at 2.5cm and 5.0cm in the CLAS coord. system), the Bdl was
smaller and therefore the electromagnetic background rates much lower.
Unfortunately, the corrected plots show that the rate changes only by
5-10% when the target is moved downstream or the start counter moved
upstream.
We are back to zero in our search for a solution! My apology!!!

Talk to you later on the FROST meeting,
Franz
