Here is an update on the FROST holding magnet. Some good news.
They found where the wire broke. It is right next to the joint between
the wire and the lead. It is fixable, we have enough wire length to
reattach it to the lead. The current plan is:
1. reattach the wire today.
2. Put everything back together and close cryostat tomorrow.
3. Pump down over weekend.
4. start cooling down some time Monday
5. If everything goes well, we might be ready to polarize target Tuesday.
Once it is polarized resume running with 2-pass circularly polarized
beam for two weeks.
Krister is testing the torus. Everything seems to be working.
