You can turn that off with

clasevent.SetNoTimingCut();

I'm going to go through and redo this study, but without relying on
the pid.  That is, I'll do a skim just looking for charges and then
classify the particle as a proton or pion, etc, based on momentum and
mass, etc.  I'll let you know if the same issues still appear after
doing that.
