Dear Colleagues,
In today's meeting we looked at z-vertex dependences of the experimental asymmetry and missing mass in the pi+n channel. As a follow up of our discussion I updated the document at
http://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/secure/g9/g9_strauch/mtg/20110324_zvertex.pdf
It now includes a set of distributions for events within a narrow angular range about theta(lab) = 90 deg. The 'missing mass' values are the mean values of the missing masses in the final state averaged over a range up to 1 GeV. They are not peak positions of the missing neutron peak. Particularly the z-vertex distribution of the 'missing mass' shows with the tight angle cut distinct variations at z = -3 cm and z = +2 cm, the end points of the target?
All the best,
Steffen
