Hi Franz and Michael,

I also try to follow the way you already went.

After running the frost simulation, the output files from gsim, gpp, and rec are empty.
You can check my output in /w/work5804/supark/MC/frost_Sep2211
I have attached logfile(mytest_frost.log) with this email

Franz, Are you fixing the frost simulation now? I had the same process in Sep1811. Then all output files are not empty.
Let me know how I run our simulation in JLab?

I will describe what do I do for this.
Step 1) Sourced some clasg9 files in my .cshrc ( /u/home/supark ):
   source /home/clasg9/.cshrc
   source /home/clasg9/set_cook_env

Step 2) cvs co  packages/tests/frost (in /w/work5804/supark/MC/frost_Sep2211)
Step 3) change some things in recinit gsim.tcl
   set lrf_do     -1;  ==>   set lrf_do     0;
   set photon_trig_type 1;  ==>  set photon_trig_type 4;
Step 4) I copied the event-generated file (called out_bos_0.evt )with 100 events here.
Step 5) I use the following comment for this simulation.

ifarm1101|supark>./mytest_frost.sh -bat -runno 55521 -nevents 100 -gpp_do 1 -mcin out_bos_0.evt -gsimout gsim_out_bos_0.evt
 parsing command line options:
-bat
-runno 55521
-nevents 100
-gpp_do 1
-mcin out_bos_0.evt
-gsimout gsim_out_bos_0.evt

Settings for MC events: runno 55521
 mcin=out_bos_0.evt
 gsimout=gsim_out_bos_0.evt
 gpp: with options  -f1.0 -a1.0 -b1.0 -c1.0
 recin=/work/clas/disk8/supark/MC/frost_Sep2211/gpp_out_bos_0.evt
 recout=/work/clas/disk8/supark/MC/frost_Sep2211/rec_out_bos_0.evt
 executables in directory: /u/home/clasg9/bin/Linux64RHEL5
 use calibration database Run-Index table: calib_user.RunIndexg9

*** batch job started
