Hi Everyone,
I am circulating an abstract for your review that I will be submitting to NSTAR and INPC (deadline: Jan 25th)
Title:
Determination of E and G observables using $\eta$ photo-production on the CLAS Frozen Spin Target (FROST)
Abstract:
Polarization observables are vital for disentangling the overlapping resonances in the baryon spectrum. Extensive data has been collected at Jefferson Lab in Hall B with circularly and linearly polarized photon beam incident on longitudinally polarized protons provided by the Frozen Spin Target (FROST). The presentation will focus on $\eta$ photo-production, which acts as an ``isospin filter'' by restricting possible proton excitations for one step processes to be isospin 1/2 resonances. Preliminary results for the double-polarization observables E and G will be presented. These will be the first such measurements for $\eta$ photo-production.
Thank you,
-Igor

Folks,
I spoke with Volker about NSTAR meeting today. He encouraged people to submit contributions to NSTAR2013 in Spain. If contribution is accepted we can explore various sources to fund: ask organizers for support, use JSA support for students and postdocs, and Hall B may also help. Let's talk about it tomorrow. The deadline for contributions is in two weeks.
-Eugene
