Dear all,

As we have seen in our recent frost meetings, the lambda pulls had a sine dependence on phi lab. I have attempted to correct phi lab using a sine function correction and then I recalculated four-momentum of the particles. The new four-vectors were used as inputs for kinematic fitting and the pulls were extracted. The pulls looked much better. I think changing the amplitude of the sine function by a little amount (0.7percent correction instead 0.5 percent) should eliminate phi dependence of lambda pulls completely. The correction does not alter magnitude of momentum and theta lab and the overall pull and CL distributions look good.

Here are the details of the correction : http://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/secure/g9/priyaroy/Phi_lab_correction.pdf

Regards,
Priyashree
