Dear All,
as you may know a tape hosting output files from the g11 pass1 cooking
was damaged. The files (see
/home/clasg11/cooking/badtape/g11_badtape_400526.txt) on tape 400526
were therefore lost. To recover these lost files, all the files for
which one or more outputs were lost (see
/home/clasg11/cooking/badtape/tobecooked.txt) were recooked. To do that,
the same source code used for the g11 pass1 cooking was recompiled on
Fedora 8 with only minimal modification to the source files. The results
of the new cooking were compared with the original ones, finding a very
good agreement both in terms of number of reconstructed events and
distributions.
The outputs of the new cooking was saved to the silo under
/mss/clas/g11a/production/pass2/v1 .
The recooking was successful for most of the files except the ones
listed in /home/clasg11/cooking/badtape/missing , for which user_ana was
giving a segmentation fault. However these files, except for
clas_043553.A03, are not in the list of golden files since they were
taken during commissioning.
Some of the original pass1 outputs that were lost were also recovered
since copies were available elsewhere. In particular all reduced ntuples
were collected and saved to the original location,
/mss/clas/g11a/production/pass1/v1/skims/ntpreduced/ . If you happen to
have copies of the original files that were lost, please let me know and
I will collect them and saved them to the silo.
Best regards
    Raffaella
