Hi All,

To just clarify a few questions/doubts raised about Tagger today.

You can read section 4.2 and 4.3 and that should answer most questions about the Tagger Geometry.

-- Relevant Excerpt--
"
The ¹-counter scintillators are organized in two
groups, with the "rst group of 19 narrower counters
spanning the photon energy range from 75% to
95% of the incident electron energy, and the remaining
group of 42 counters spanning the range
from 20% to 75%. The ¹-counter widths (along the
dispersion direction) are varied to compensate for
the 1/Ec behavior of the bremsstrahlung cross section,
so that the counting rate in each detector
remains approximately the same within each
group, with the rate in the "rst group approximately
13
of that in the second group. The discontinuity
in the width progression (visible in
Fig. 1) permits operation at considerably higher
tagged-photon rates for some experiments which
are only interested in the highest-energy photons.
"

So the first 19 Counters are narrower than the rest. Reasons are mentioned and rationale explained in the paper.

Thanks,
Mukesh.
