HI, Diane,
Nice talk. I have a few comments:
1. Several figures you have the X-axis labeled as "miss" or "missing
mass". YOu should spell out, what is the missing mass off of, such as
MM(ppi+pi-). YOu should use greek letters in your root figures:
instead of Mass(eta pi-), you should use M(#eta #pi^{-}) for the axis
titles, for example.
2. Slide 10: top left plot, maybe a log scale would better illustrate
the effect of your cuts.
It seems like you "mass of neutral" on the bottom left is the same as
what you meant by "Missing mass" on the right plot? Again, I strongly
suggest that you make sure all the axis titles are consistent, concise
(e.g., instead of 2 gammas inv. mass, use M(#gamma#gamma)).
3. Slide 11.
What is your cut on Delta++. Since it's a breit-Wigner, it might not
have been the best to use sigma. However, if this is what you used,
then you should illustrate on the bottom left plot where your cut is.
4. General commments:
In a lot of you plots, you have "bin width ...". It's better to
illustrate that on you Y-axis, using sth. like "Events/20 MeV, or
counts/20 MeV".
5. Slide 14/15
Moments are not something most audience understand easily. So, it
would save you more time and effort if you put a little more
explanation (but not overdo it; in that case, you could confuse them
more). For example, on Slide 15, the formula H(LM) -- what is L, what
is M, what is phi and theta. These might seem trivial to you, but for
a lot of people it is not. I'd suggest you move this formula to Slide
14, and define the angles with a figure. You should also explain what
is the "sensitivity to subsets", maybe with a back up slide explaining
what is H00 and H10, for example.
Your talk is indeed very interesting.
Good luck!
Lei
