Hi folks,
Minutes from today's meeting can be found at:
http://clasweb.jlab.org/rungroups/g12/wiki/index.php/03Mar10
and pasted below:
Agenda
* gflux
* cascades
* momentum corrections
* gagik's missing tracks
* Sasha Starostin's cascade analysis (bottom of the page)
* Mike's latest fit to the rho
[edit]
Minutes
* Attending: Sasha S., John P., Miles, Dennis, Diane, Heghine, Carlos,
Will, Craig, Paul, Sasha O., Mukesh, Ben, Michael Paolone, Lei
* Diane is gonna run gflux on all of the g12 raw files -- they are
quick jobs but the files need to be pulled down off the silo.
* Sasha is trying to reconcile with reality his numbers for the number
of photons with g12 -- Diane will send him a few of her files so he
can check. The number should be on the order of 1e14.
* Johann reports that he's getting a mass for the ground state cascade
15 MeV higher than the PDG mass. The data is 3 MeV off. Johann is
going to check that gsim uses the correct magnetic field for swimming
tracks. The MAGSCALE parameter in the gsim ffread card might be the
culprit -- we've been using 0.502 when perhaps 0.5 is the correct
number. He also will check which run number he's using to grab the
parameters from the DB. a1c also needs the -X option to reconstruct
gsim data correctly.
* Johann will also provide Craig with some p pi+pi- MC so he can
kinematically fit it and get a look at the pull distributions.
* Heghine is going to rework the momentum corrections with better
selections on exclusive events. The pions should have no background
when they are treated as the missing particle.
* Ben would like Sasha S. to give a spectroscopy working group talk at
the upcoming collaboration meeting. Paul would also like Johann to
give an update on g12 status. Sasha S. seems to be doing the same
analysis as Johann but he has a different interest in the results,
namely to push forward a different proposal. The selections Sasha S.
was making on his data were unclear to the group and we would like to
postpone a talk until we can agree on the results. Paul suggests with
getting together with Sasha S. during the collaboration meeting and
prior to the SWG meeting to get to a group consensus.
