[G12] Meeting in 20 minutes!

Hello Everyone,

Current Meeting:
August 24, 2011
     -(Johann) Lambda total cross section calculation
          -reaction:  g p -->  Lambda K+  -->  p pi- K+
          -I am about 40% of the previous CLAS/g1 data (more than a factor of 2 in some areas). However there are scaling factors which are not included in my analysis. Furthermore, I used phase-space and I don't know how close I should get with such a simple generator.
          -Current plan:
               -remove all events there the p pi- are in the same sector for beam energies less than 3.6 GeV. This is a "1st order trigger model" for g12 -- I will apply this cut to both data and simulation though I expect the effect on the data to be small.
               -incorporate fiducial cut
               -do differential cross section and integrate over angles (?) I can avoid doing this if I get a reliable generator for beam energies up to 5.4 GeV. I hope to get one from Mike McCracken
     -Shloka - kinematic fit (g p -> Ks Ks -> pi+ pi- pi+ pi-)
