Hi,

I am sending a link to the plot where I take into account the photon spin density matrix in case of generated phi meson data.

How do I do that:

I create isotropic distribution in GJ Frame where KK decays to phi mass and width.

I create two independent sets of KK decaying to phi in a P- and P+ wave, where the 2 sets have no event in common. I then add the two sets to create one where I have equal numbers of P+ and P- events. Lets call it p+p- set.

This takes care of the photon spin density matrix.

The plot I link here, was generated by fitting my standard wavelist to the p+p-. Let me summarise the plots.

1) Leftmost column is the p+p- data generated for the fit.

2) RightMost column is the isotropically generated MC events.

3) Center Column is the isotropically generated MC events Weighted with the production amplitudes obtained from the fit to the data plotted in the leftmost column.

4) Top row is GJ Costheta, middle row is GJ phi and the bottom is the 2D plot of theta vs phi.

Expectation is - if the fit is good, after the weighing of the isotropic MC, the weighed isotropic data will look like the fitted data.

Also when you have both helicities + and - for a J=1 wave. the GJ phi distribution is flat as seen in the picture.

This is what we see and I am assuming this is what Dennis had been asking for.

Let me know if this is reasonable.

Regards,
Mukesh.
