Subject: fiducial cuts
To: g12 <g12 at jlab.org>
Hi all,
I won't have time to go into detail about these cuts, but here are two
versions of a fiducial cut dependent on abs(momentum) and cos(theta_LAB). I
printed the functions on the plot and any analysis should show the
difference (if any) between using both the cuts and no cut at all. This
will give three points to verify that a tighter cut is not needed.
For reference, I overlayed the lines on "yield ratios" That is, I took the
number of tracks from data and divided them by the number I got from
acceptance corrected simulation. Ideally, and if the model is good, the
"fiducial region" is where the 2D histogram is "flat." I can quantify this,
but I have other issues for g12 to attend to (trigger related).
