Hi all,
Since Dennis is out of town this week, we'll use my readytalk conference access number for this meeting. I have not tested the website conference capabilities so we'll stick to the usual phone/wiki page combination.
Current Meeting:
May 4, 2011
-(Johann) I have a program that extracts noise for ST, DC and TOF. The four banks: STN0, STN1, DC0, and SC were copied from data in sectors that did not have any hit-based tracks (HBTR) or final particles (PART).
-working on a program to incorporate these into the MC data, however, there is a snag:
-looking at raw TDC and ADC values for ST, DC and TOF below, they are clearly different for MC and data. This means that an offset needs to be applied to the values I get from data when I try to incorporate noise into the simulated data.
-Following the techniques from DVCS, I am adjusting my noise extracting program to adjust the ADC/TDC values as it is read from the data.
-I will create at least four sets (maybe more) of noise data that can be incorporated into any simulation: 24, 60 (early trigger config), 60 (later trigger config) and 65 nA.
-I will also include the EC and CC into this procedure.
-I have started to include all this into my yield study report which is now titled: Yield and Efficiency Study of the g12 Experiment
-color key:
-blue: uncorrected (raw) data
-brown: monte carlo (after gpp)
