Dear Chandra and everyone else who will be calling in,
We (g14) have a "ReadyTalk" account setup that allows up to 96 people to
join a conference call from anywhere. (Hopefully, we won't actually have 96
talking at once.) Here's how it works. First you need a 7 digit "access
code", which is 2877656. That will be the g14 number until further notice.
Then, from the US or Canada:
- Dial toll-free: 866-740-1260 (or toll: 303-248-0285);
- enter the 7 digit access code (2877656), followed by " # '
- say hello, and hold if necessary. Phone-in participants are automatically
put on hold until the designated chair initiates the conference (which is
another sequence of buttons).
>From outside US or Canada:
- look up your toll free call in number from the country you are in:
go to <http://esnet.readytalk.com>
enter our 7 digit ReadyTalk access code (2877656) and hit "lookup";
choose the country you are calling from from the drop down menu;
the local toll-free (and toll) calling numbers are displayed
- dial the call-in number
- enter the 7 digit access code (2877656), followed by " # '
- say hello, and hold if necessary. Phone-in participants are automatically
put on hold until the designated chair initiates the conference.
We'll see how well this works at our next meeting, which is 10:30 AM EST on
Thursday, Oct 27/11.
