Dear collaborators,

(a) Yesterday the cooking for pass0v10 finished (using the debug version of user_ana to prevent random crashes during initialization, crashes that could not be reproduced running user_ana interactively).
You can check out the monitoring information using the links on the main wiki page and meeting page (below).

(b) During the last meeting (Dao's presentation) we had a discussion about more realistic simulations for g14. What's needed at the minimum (information used in gpp to 'transform' hit info for design detector into more realistic ones for the g14 run period):
(i) deviations from design geometry of CLAS (most important are DC alignment parameters, which are used when you run gsim with a run number >67800)
(ii) status list of all malfunctioning detector channels in CLAS: hardware status was updated for Tagger (Natalie), TOF (original set by Franz), EC (original set by Franz), DC-dead & hot wires (Franz)
(iii) smearing of timing+position resolutions for ST, TOF, DC (depending on how much the resolution of real data and our calibrations differ from design values).
(iv) create banks ('library') with background in tagger in order to study effects of accidentals (this can be done in simpler ways but is good to study effects of PID selections)
(v) ???

(c) Our next group meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, at 9:30am in room L-207.
Please check out the quality of your calibrations before the meeting!

Agenda:
* calibrations (pass0v10)
* ongoing and planned analyses
* other items

(see http://clasweb.jlab.org/rungroups/g14/wiki/index.php/October_10,_2013 )

Please update the agenda as required.

Cheers,
Franz
