Ken and Haiyun,

the latest changes (as of Oct.2017) as well as additions for g14 are in the version in /home/clasg14/rootbeer2.1 (also as tarball /home/clasg14/rootbeer.2.1.2.tar.gz)
Linear polarization information can be accessed through include/g14pol.h, which uses the files /work/clas/clasg14/pass1/v1/g14pol/<nominal_edge>_<para|perp>.list (updated with Ken's new fits - Dec.2017).

To ease your code compilation, you may postpone the upgrade to ROOT6 and use on jlab's cue: setenv ROOTSYS /apps/root/5.34.36/root
Good luck,
Franz

Hi Haiyun,
I'm very glad to hear that the PERP data is improved with the fix to the tables.
There are several modified versions of ROOTBEEER from different people around to cope with bug fixes, upgrades to OS and ROOT6 etc. In the very short term, I think Nick had a working version - at least on g14. I'm traveling back from Jlab at the moment and will take a few days break. Next week I'll try to pull all these together into new "approved" release.

Regards,
Ken

Dear Collaborators,

I am sorry that I will not be able to join the meeting due to a time conflict. I have looked into the edge files of 2200 PERP. It covers the coherent edge from 2100 MeV to 2299 MeV, comparing to the old files from 2206MeV to 2221 MeV.

I did a test with run 69635. There are 9.7 Million events falling within the new coherent edge range, out of 10.9 M events totally in that run. There were only 14 K events falling within the old coherent edge range. This is a great enhancement.

To move forward, I need to skim the cooked files. I had a problem. The ROOT system at JLab was upgraded since I skimmed file last time. Now when I tried to compile the ROOTBEER system, it gave me an error message:

/apps/root/PRO/root/include/RConfig.h:40:3: error: #error "ROOT requires support for C++11 or higher."
# error "ROOT requires support for C++11 or higher."

together with some other error messages.

My ROOTBEER version is 2.1 with some manually added upgrade.

Do we have a latest working ROOTBEER I can grab? If someone can tell me where I can get it, I would appreciate it a lot and it will save me much time.

Thank you,
Haiyun
