Ciao Alessandra,

I have some comments about your draft proceedings so far.

 At the 2nd section,

(1) electron beam linear polarization -> longitudinal polarization ?

(2) The HD-ice target, being composed of free protons and deuterons only, could in principle be polarized to a high degree (nominally, 90% for H and 60% for D) compared to other targets such as ammonia or buthanol, which contained non-polarizable N or C atoms.

-> Where did you get these numbers "nominally, 90% for H and 60% for D" ? From the g14 proposal ?
Butanol (not Buthanol ?) has a formula of C4H9OH which contains C and O in addition to H.

  (3) and (4) seem to describe the things not completely and partially.

(3) The degree of polarization of the free protons in hydrogen was periodically determined through Nuclear Magnetic Resonance measurements.

-> This is not wrong, but not only pol. of free p in H but also of D are measured by NMR.

 (4) The effective value of the target polarization is obtained by an average of the polarizations achieved for H and D.

-> If you are talking about protons, this could be O.K. You may add that effective pol. of n is from D pol.

  At the 3rd section,

 (5)  rpovide -> provide

       Regards, Tsuneo Kageya.

    Dear all,
Happy New Year to all of you!

I'm writing you as I have been asked to provide a contribution for the
MENU23 proceedings, and I have written a short paper (page limit 6 pages),
trying to avoid to show any new data form the new analysis, as they
    are not officially published yet.
Basically, it is a description of the method followed for the extraction
of the polarization variables without any results, and the only data shown
are those by the old publication by Strauch. It is partially useless :-)
nonetheless it could work as reference to shorten the section
on method description in forthcoming papers.
I attach my manuscript to this e-mail. May you please take a look to it
and let me have your comments/feedbacks? I would suggest in 10 days from
today (say jan. 18th), as then I need to send it to the speakers'
committee for approval, and the final deadline for submission to the
conference is jan. 31 (already postponed).
    Thank you all,
    cheers
         Alessandra
