_*g8b meeting minutes 22/01/2008 *_

Present: Phil, Julian, Volker, Chuck, Ken, Stuart, Barry, Michael

* Mike went over his recent document on attempts to understand the 
photon energy correction. ( 
http://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/secure/g8b/ASU/egCorrASU.pdf ) There is still 
not adequate agreement on the 3 analyses (Stuart's Mike's, Chuck's)  to  
make us believe that we understand this and have a correction we can trust.

*  It was agreed that, in principle, the full kinematic fit method which 
Chuck is using should be the best way to produce momentum and beam 
energy corrections. Chuck will attempt to provide some more information; 
specifically the beam energy correction based on his momenutm 
corrections from the kinematic fit, and the correlation matrix for the 
parameters extracted on the basis of the pulls. (Have I got that right?)

* Chuck will also send out a tar file demonstrating how he does the 
kinematice fitting within the rootbeer analysis framework. Ken will look 
at using this, and also consider incorporating it into the rootbeer as a 
more general feature.
