[G8b_run] MC question

Hi all,

I have generated MC for g8b using all of the setup from the g8b
folders at JLab and using ffread cards, etc, obtained from Michael.
They all seem to generate just fine, but I noticed that the MC is more
forward peaked for both protons and pi+s than the data. This is
evident when looking at the TOF counters hit by sector, as 5 or so
forward TOFs have counts in the MC and none in the data. I'm
wondering if anyone else has seen this kind of problem or could
suggest what to do about it. It seems like the target position is
off, but I can see that everything is set correctly in the MC and
plots of the vertex position z match for data and MC, so that
shouldn't be the problem. One place this problem is most evident in
is the dip around momentum = 0.5 GeV for protons and pions in sector 2
(I'm assuming due to a DC problem). The dip is there in the MC, but
it does not match the data, either in amplitude or position of the
dip. Any help you can give on either of these issues would be most
helpful and appreciated. I am aware that perhaps most of you haven't
looked at this because you are only worried about asymmetries, but if
you have seena ything like this I'd appreciate your wisdom.

Thanks,

Brian
