Let’s get this nailed down. From what Andrew C wrote it sounds
like he would only be available after 12 on Friday, which is
inconveniently late for him. Bhasitha also indicated no availability
on Friday. So it looks like we need to consider a different day.
Although we’re already holding two meetings on Thursday (GEN and
GMN/nTPE), it looks like Thursday 11 AM US Eastern works for a
decent number of the key people, including Andrew C and Bhasitha.
Shall we make Thursday “SBS analysis meeting marathon day”?
Hi Michael, all,
I agree that late morning would work best, especially with the
8-hour time difference for Saru and me.
The tricky part is that this overlaps with my teaching labs
(2–5pm UK time on Mon and Fri), which is why I only listed
8:30–12:00EST on Tues, Wed, and Thurs in the poll.
That said, I can extend my availability a bit after 5pm (12am EST)
if that would work better for Saru and the rest of the group.
Cheers,
Dear Andrew,
Pushing it back to Fri 11:15am would be fine with me.
I think it is most important that all of the students on GEnRP can
attend (=Saru, Andrew, and Bhasitha), plus some supervisors.
It's a smaller group, so we don’t have to meet every week.
I did not fill the survey since I had other unknown dependencies
when the survey was done.
Andrew Cheyne, is 11:15am EST (16:15 UK time) possible for you?
The 8:30am EST time slot would be awfully early, in particular for
Saru who is connecting from the PST time zone this semester
(=5:30am).
Thank you,
Hi Michael,
As far as I know, the main reason to consider changing it for this
semester is my teaching schedule ( MWF 10:10-11:00 in a building
halfway across campus from my office). Also, Andrew Cheyne indicated
in the survey that he is NOT available at any time on Fridays,
although I’m not sure if that was intentional or not. I can join
on Fridays but only starting around 11:15. If we can shift the start
time by 15 minutes I will be fully available. FWIW, according to the
survey responses, the time that worked best for the largest number
of key people was 8:30 AM on Fridays (though I’m not a fan of the
early meeting time before my class on Fridays).
Dear Andrew, (cc a smaller list)
We used to have GEnRP on Fridays at 11am. This would continue to
work for me.
We chose it to be late AM to make it better manageable for Glasgow
