[Gluex_grad_postdoc] Q&A Sessions Before Collab Meeting

Hey everybody,

Ahead of the collaboration meeting, we will be setting up some Q&A sessions for everybody to ask any questions they might have about the GlueX detector, the physics, the analysis nitty-gritty details, and anything else you might be wondering about. Some of our newer graduate students and postdocs haven't much for chances to chat casually about these things, so we figure it might be nice to give everyone the chance ahead of this next collaboration meeting. The rest of us probably have had some more questions pop up too, I imagine. That in mind, we've decided to arrange two Q&A sessions just for grad students and postdocs: a detector Q&A on Monday February 15 and an analysis/physics session Tuesday February 16.

  * The detector session will be hosted with Elton Smith on Monday February 15 at 10-11 am (JLab time).
  * The analysis and physics session will be hosted by Alex Austregesilo on Tuesday February 16 at 10-11 am.

Other than that, it'll be just grad students/postdocs attending. The hardware, software, and physics of the GlueX experiment is quite complicated, and everybody is going to have large gaps in what they're familiar with or not (for instance I didn't know how accidental subtraction worked until year 3 with GlueX 😅)

We're still deciding on Zoom vs. Bluejeans for now; I'll send the connection info out in the coming week. Let me know if there are any major conflicts with those times. Hope everybody is having a nice chill weekend!

Cheers,
Jon
