[Gpdtc] Some updates...

Dear Colleagues,

Another busy day.  We heard this afternoon that the other group has expressed their interest in a unified proposal, and have proposed Phiala (MIT), Feng (LBNL), Ismail (SUNY), and Xiangdong (CNF) to be their representatives on the coordinating committee.  The four of us have agreed to meet with them for a kick-off discussion tomorrow afternoon at 430pm.

Ian reached out to Simonetta, Matthias and Michael, and we are hoping to meet with them sometime early afternoon tomorrow.

Without wishing to fill your calendar with yet another meeting now teaching has started, but we think it important that we report back to our group promptly, say on Thursday, and discuss how to respond to the outcome.
