Hadstruct and hadstruc are abbreviations that have the same meaning,
so I see no reason to keep an extra letter that adds no extra information.

PS There was significant resistance to HadStruc when I suggested it, but I don't think anyone has come up with a better alternative. I'm not backing down now.

I believe I am responsible for the "HadStruc" suggestion and I certainly intended it to be a riff on HadSpec. I would campaign for the spelling without the "t". I would also encourage everyone to use it as much as possible so it really sticks 🙂

Regards,
Chris

Hey everyone,

Since we didn't have a meeting, I didn't have a chance to ask a very important question to the group. Since the name of our call has stuck, I am assuming we are committing to this name for our collaboration. I wanted to name our collaboration on my APLatt slides. Is anyone opposed to that happening? If not, I would encourage David and Colin to do so as well.

Now the important question is, shall we call it "HadStruct" which is the name of the call or "HadStruc" which is how I've always spelled it? I like the latter because it makes it even more clear that we are ripping off HadSpec.

Best,
Joe

Dear All,

As discussed last week, we will not have any group meeting tomorrow due to schedule conflicts and an ongoing conference where some of our collaborators are presenting their works.

Thank you.
