Dear All,

Please find below the minutes - I’ve put Chris and Christos’ presentations in both the minutes and on the wiki “presentations” page. Also, when you fill out the doodle poll, please remember to treat it as “general” availability rather than a specific week, eg I’ve entered availability for Monday, though this coming week will probably miss.

Regards,
David

Gluon distribution

TK showed both the matrix element and the reduced matrix element for flow time up to \tau =4, in separations of 0.2. The latter seemed to exhibit a plateau at large flow times, with the logarithmic behavior suppressed. In order to limit the computational costs, the suggestion was to decrease the separation between successive flow-time calculations from the current 0.2 to 0.4, or alternatively have a constant separation in \ln \tau

CM described the calculation of the gluon momentum fraction wrt flow time here. Notably, the relation between the flow-time and a scale \mu was known, and the (non-perturbative) logarithmic dependence on the flow time was able to be fit.

"Physical Mass" calculation

CK showed preliminary analysis here using a (subset) of the 48^3x96 "physical mass" lattices, both for the effective energies, and for the real and imaginary parts of the Ioffe-time distributions. The effective masses were consistent with those used in the earlier nucleon charges paper. Similarly, the comparison with the Ioffe-time matrix elements computed, using distillation, on the smaller, heavier 32^3 lattices was consistent with expectations. One task was to check on the availability of the full ensemble of configurations, since these were also being generated by Rajan Gupta and Phiala.

Next meeting

DGR would circulate a doodle poll for Mon/Wed/Fri mornings.
