Polarized gluon distribution
RS noted that there appeared to be a good signal for the polarized gluon distribution, and TK was generating data up to momenta p=6. One question AR noted was whether the field was symmetric or antisymmetric in z for the three Lorentz structures that are being studied.
Asia-Pacific Lattice Conference
Only show published work. Suggested talks... Tentatively:
JK will show the nucleon pseudo-PDF results?
CE will talk about the pion results?
DR about distillation/phasing?
**DEADLINE IS FRIDAY 7/17 ** but be aware of time difference. Please circulate abstracts.
Fits to PDFs
KO described the formalism he and CE were investigating to go straight from the pseudo-PDF matrix element to the PDF, without the intermediate determination of the Ioffe-time distribution. His presentation is here. It required a double-integral which includes a hypergeometric function. One issue is that it allows you analytically to obtain the moments, depending on the form of the parametrized PDFs. KO showed fits to the CK and CE at different z's. By going through the moments, the factorization scale and the scale at which the PDF was specified could be separate. One question was the best choice of factorization scale. Probably needs a two-loop calculation to address the optimal choice of scale. AR asked whether DGLAP was clear, in particular for data at different z for fixed nu. CE has indeed some data on that, and showed data at different z.
AOB
DR was writing the XSEDE renewal, due 7/15, with an emphasis on a request for bridges.
Next Meeting
9am Tuesday July 21st.
