Just a reminder that we decided to defer on a HadStruc meeting this week, with Chris’ inverse-problem workshop going on.  Please find minutes below.

Public relations

BJ had received a request from ORNL regarding the recent PRL that had been published, and asked how we should respond. He would describe some of the computational aspects, and refer them to JK for an in-depth physics discussion. CC had received a request from TACC asking us to summarize the project, which CC, DR and KO would respond to.

Code

Most discussion centered on the running code, notably on Marconi and other resources where the proposal was to run GPDs on the 32^3 lattices at the lighter pion mass. There was discussion of the steps needed to compile the new genprop4. FW noted that it was necessary to compile the 3D version of QDP++ with lexicographical ordering, rather than using the usual checker-boarding.

One related issue, notably with running the code. We had a developed a series of "compile templates" for the various architectures under GitHub, as an example KO's "qcd_software" package. It would be good to do likewise for the running scripts, to avoid re-inventing the wheel.

CM was organizing a workshop on the inverse problem, for which several participants were involved. So it would be best to defer on the meeting next week.
