Dear All,
Please find brief minutes below - note I’ve arranged them slightly differently on the web page.

New colleague
DR introduced Sam Bevins, who was working at JLab over the Spring on looking at phased distillation for the pion.
Gluon Distribution
TK gave an update on the gluon-distribution calculation, and in particular the one- and two-loop matching to the scale \mu = 1\sqrt{\tau}. One question was whether indeed the large value of \mu was appropriate since corresponded to very small values of \tau. CM had spoken with Anna Hasenfratz who remarked that this large one-loop correction going from Gradient-Flow to MSbar was indeed seen in other quantities. One other observation was concerned the mixing with the flavor-singlet quark contributions, and whether that could be anticipated soon.
There was a discussion as to whether it might be best to focus in the short term on the ITD of the matrix elements, rather than the momentum-fraction, and indeed the statistical precision looked very impressive.
Contributions to DIS
CK had talked with CE about what to present at DIS (deadline 2nd Feb?), and in particular GPDs. CE had submitted an abstract to GHP that had left open the possibility of GPDs.
AOB
JWQ had looked at the two-loop matching relating lattice matrix elementsto the PDFs, noting that this would enable the use of data at larger z. He will give a presentation at the next meeting.
CK reported he would be giving a short presentation on the PDF results on 8th Feb.
Next Meeting
Feb 3 at 9am.
