[Hadstruct] Talk at USQCD AHM next week

Dear All,

I received an invitation from Tanmoy for us (ie someone from the collaboration, and someone younger than me!) to give a talk at the USQCD AHM next Thursday. Colin has kindly offered to give the talk - this is a lot of work given the short notice.

Given that the AHM is next Thursday and Friday, I would suggest we cancel the Wednesday meeting next week. However, in the meantime if you have some material that you think Colin may wish to include, please send them to him together with some accompanying text, accepting that, given he has only 15 minutes, he may decide not to include them.

Regards,
David

Dear David,

The Scientific Program Committee of USQCD would like to invite a 15-minute talk on the status of “Parton distribution functions and amplitudes” from your collaboration at the upcoming AHM. While we are interested in the physics discussed in your recent proposal to USQCD, please do not feel obliged to directly address the request, but rather give aim to give an overview of the issues involved.

Even though we are sending the invitation to the proposal PIs, we would like to explicitly encourage them to have their junior colleagues speak at the AHM instead of giving the talk themselves. If this applies to your case, please let us know who from your collaboration will speak, so that we can update the indico site. Also please have you and/or your colleague register for the AHM at your earliest convenience.

The talk is currently scheduled for Thursday 21 April 16:30–16:45 EDT, but is subject to change. We hope you are able to accept this invitation, and look forward to your response at your earliest convenience.

Regards,

Tanmoy Bhattacharya
For the USQCD SPC
